This website came about as a consequence of my deciding to become an active participant in the Joy Division Central website community, a few months before the onset of COVID 19. Being a member of the message board forum was a life-saver during lockdown. As a result of one particular thread in which I became involved (the puzzle of the mysterious Band On The Wall tape) I made the decision to digitise all of the live gig recordings that I had made back in the late 1970s and early 1980s. This ultimately led me to consider, if I wanted to make the recordings available to the other forum members, or more widely to other Joy Division fans, how would I accomplish that? This website is the answer to that question.
The site is presently hosted by x10hosting.com, who are remarkable in my eyes because they are still offering free full-featured web hosting, with (in my personal experience) no censorship or limits on subject matter. Given my experiences with earlier attempts, I cannot guarantee that this new site will not, in its turn, disappear. But time will tell. In the meanwhile, my advice is (if you haven't already done so): have a look round, download anything that takes your fancy, and feel free to spread the word to other like-minded souls.
If you experience any problems (find broken links, or the material you are interested in will not download) then please e-mail me. I hope you find something in here that's worthwhile, interesting or stimulating. Enjoy.
